Just some thoughts...

  • We still haven't received our invitation, but at least now we know what the hold up was and it's being taken care of...slowly.
  • Just watched a movie called Winter Passing (it was just okay) and Will Ferrell played a musician in a former Christian rock band called Punching Pilate...just thought that was funny.
  • Also watched Run, Fat Boy, Run and thought it was pretty funny.
  • I did finally finish reading Le Miserables and I've never been more proud of myself for it.  It was definitely a worthwhile 1200-page book to read.
  • Almost finished with Seinfeld, just 7 more episodes to go after a big weekend.
  • We are packing up and getting rid of things right now and it looks like someone has robbed us of all of our possessions.  Just a recliner and TV in the living room, the microwave is sitting on the dryer, and we are using plastic ware utensils.
  • Doing a series at church called Messy Little Christmas and it's really good.  Dave gave a very vivid description of the Roman soldiers killing the children in Matthew 2:16.  Bethlehem was just a small tight-knit village of 300 or so people.  Can you imagine what that must have been like?
  • But through it all, we know God is in control; "Be still and know that I am God..." - Psalms 46:10a

Part of me can completely comprehend Bethlehem as a "small tight-knit village of 300 or so people." ;-)
