The Bubble Boy (Ep. 407)

Susan invites George to her parents cabin for the weekend and he invites Jerry and his girlfriend, Naomi. However, George leaves a message on Jerry's answering machine making fun of Naomi's laugh and she overhears it. This causes her to break up with him and forces him to invite Elaine instead. George doesn't want Kramer to come on the trip though because Susan doesn't like him. This works out when Kramer says he's going to be playing golf all weekend at a top-notch private club.

Jerry is approached by a man in Monk's Cafe who says that his son has to constantly live in a bubble because germs would kill him and he would love nothing more than to meet Jerry for his birthday. Jerry reluctantly agrees, but it works out when Susan tells him that it's on the way to the cabin. Unfortunately, Jerry is following George to the cabin and he loses him because George is driving too fast and Jerry doesn't have the directions to the Bubble Boy's house or the cabin. George and Susan end up meeting the Bubble Boy alone and playing Trivial Pursuit with him. He is not a little boy though, and him and George end up getting in a fight over the game and thus injuring the Bubble Boy.

Kramer later is in Jerry's apartment and overhears a message from Naomi saying she's changed her mind and would like to go the cabin if it's not too late. Kramer has decided that he's going to go after his golf game is cancelled and offers to take her. They get up there, but since Jerry is lost and George is at the Bubble Boy's house nobody is at the cabin. They let themselves in and have a get prepared to go for a swim. Unfortunately, Kramer forgets his Cuban cigar (given to him by George via Susan's dad) and it catches the cabin on fire, burning the whole place down. The rest of the group shows up just in time to see the place go up in flames.

Interesting quote: "She sounds like Elmer Fudd sitting on a juicer." - Jerry on his girlfriend Naomi's laugh

Grade: A- (One of the best episodes ever and a welcome relief to the "hour long/...to be continued" episodes)
