The Pilot, Part 1 & 2 (Ep. 423 & 424)

Jerry and George begin working with NBC to cast actors for The Jerry Show. Kramer insists that he's good enough to play himself on the show and shows up for the auditions. Very shortly in though, he realizes he has to go to the bathroom and dashes out. The guy who lands the role of Kramer bothers George because he alledgedly stole a box of raisins from the audition room, but won't admit to it. The girl who plays Elaine is obsessed with Jerry and wants to become Elaine so as to better play the character. Kramer tries to instruct the guy playing him on how to be Kramer. George is afraid that God won't let him be successful and notices a white spot on his lip that he believes is cancer. Russell Dalrymple is obsessed with Elaine, but she won't be with him because his life is television and she doesn't like television.

Kramer had trouble finding a bathroom and has now missed his window of opportunity and is afraid he's going to have to use the Big E. "Crazy" Joe Davola jumps out of the crowd at Jerry during the taping of the show and yells out "sic siemper tyranus." Russell is a no show for the taping because he's joined Greenpeace to try to impress Elaine. George finds out that he doesn't have cancer. Later, while the group sits to watch the first episode, Jerry gets a call from Rita Kierson. She tells him that she is the new President of NBC since Russell has disappeared and she doesn't like his show and pulls the plug.

Interesting fact: The guy who plays Kramer in The Jerry Show actually originally auditioned for the part of Kramer for Seinfeld.

Interesting quote: "This is George Costanza, I'm calling for my test results. Negative? Oh, my God! Why? Why? Why? What? Negative's good?!?" - George

Grade: B (Good, I really don't have much else to say about it)
